Innovative solutions for hospitality
Philips Hospitality - Improving your business and the guest experience.
A history of innovative solutions - Philips has always been committed to advancing technology
by innovating and improving ways to experience television.
We created the hospitality category with the invention of
hotel-specific software and the SmartPlug, which make
pay-per-view possible. Our latest innovations are detailed below
and demonstrate that Philips is always innovating with your total
interest at heart. A partnership with Philips lets you take full
advantage of more than 30 years of hospitality solutions.
We've been busy since we created the hotel television category.
We continue to innovate and integrate the latest technological
breakthroughs for the hospitality industry. So no matter where the
industry goes, Philips won't just be there - we'll lead the way.
SmartPower and SmartPower2
SmartPower allows the backlight intensity to be controlled and preset
to reduce power consumption by up to 50%, saving substantially on
energy costs. SmartPower2, our second generation energy savings
innovation, is featured in the 2008 television range and provides
in-use energy savings of over 50%.

Philips Pro:IdiomTM
Philips Pro:IdiomTM Plus is the easiest solution for use with
satellite systems in non-pay-per-view settings. Our commercial
TVs need no additional hardware upgrades to work in stand-alone
configurations. Simply register the television's serial number and
enable the Pro:IdiomTM key to offer guests HD content without
the need for a Pay-Per-View provider.

SmartCloning
Philips was the first to offer SmartCloning capability, which is the
fastest and easiest way to clone a television, via a USB memory stick.
In addition, revolutionary RF cloning is now a feature on select Philips
televisions, and in 2008, RF cloning will be possible without even having
to enter guest rooms.

Pixel Plus
Pixel Plus is the latest example of Philips picture quality leadership.
This award-winning technology enhances each incoming pixel to create
a unique combination of ultimate sharpness, natural detail, vivid colors
and smooth natural motion. Pixel Plus works on all qualities of HD,
standard TV signals and multimedia content, for high definition displays.

Internet Protocol Television
Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) is a new way to deliver content
to your guests and Philips is at the forefront of this technology. IPTV
allows delivery of digital television and Internet content over a network
or broadband connection. IPTV will continue to expand in use as digital
content becomes more readily available and the cost of the
IPTV infrastructure decreases.

VTrackTM forensic watermarking
To protect your business against unlawful copying of early release films,
Philips has created the VTrackTM forensic watermarking solution
for the hospitality market. Major content owners have stated they will not allow their media to be
shown in high-definition in hotels during the early release window without the presence of a watermarking
solution; Philips future-proof engineering ensures that you will be compliant.

Hotel Cinema
Philips has always recognized that TV with poor sound is poor TV, so
we engineer high quality speakers into our sets. However, today's hotel
guests are used to home cinema systems that offer a full surround
sound experience. That is why we are proud to add a true commercial
surround sound product to our range, so you can delight your guests
with Hotel Cinema surround sound!

SmoovieTV®
Philips commercial televisions now support SmoovieTV®,
a completely new way to offer in-room programming optimized
for hotels that traditionally have not been able to charge for such
amenities due to their size or budget. Simple to use, SmoovieTV®
requires no expensive head-end equipment or in-room control boxes.
